Windows 7 update
It's here, and you may want to have the latest and greatest but If you are an existing client looking to upgrade from XP to Windows 7, we believe the best way to do that is to buy a new PC. If your PC is current (supported by Windows 7)... you can back up your data, install Windows 7 and then install your programs. A word of caution here, check all your applications will run under Windows 7. Also check your existing printers etc have drivers for Windows 7.
Although newer hardware such as printers etc will have drivers already... some older hardware may be casualties in the process. If it's over three years old, it's probably paid for itself and due for replacement anyway. Your hardware should be replaced every 3-4 years to minimise the 'business risk' of downtime in your salon due to equipment failure. We know how frustrating things can be when you are flat out and stuff doesn't work. Planning ahead also means you can manage your cashflow better (rather than having to throw money at a problem that could have been avoided).
So it's better not to rush in, research and 'plan' your upgrade, we are here to help....
