Providing good quality hardware is part of the total package from Salon Support Limited. It is very much an optional and customer focused service where clients will either add to their existing equipment or decide to renew to increase the performance and minimise the business risk of downtime and frustration experienced when there is a failure.

Care goes into selecting the right equipment to suit the unique needs of salons as they require a stylish, capable and compact solution with backup. The Hairware & Beautyware Software System is tested and approved with the equipment listed below and setup, testing and use of other equipment is not covered or included in any installation or support options. Extended warranties are also available to minimise the business risk and the unexpected costs of repairs and maintenance.

Computers:

All-in-One 19” LCD Viewsonic VPC100

Viewsonic VPC100 - There are two main solutions provided; a ‘start-up kit’ for small salons with minimal accessories. This is a ‘All-in-One” compact 19” LCD monitor which incorporates the equivalent of a notebook inside so it is compact and cost effective.

This unit has a 12 month warranty.

Shuttle - Small Form Factor (SFF) ‘Shuttle’ computer with a separate 17” or 19” LCD designed for larger salons where the salon may scale up with two points of sale… Both the options are outlined below and the latest pricing is available on request.

The XPC Shuttle is hand built and bench tested as servers or workstation PCs and it fits in a space of 220mmH x 220mmW and 400mm D (also requires adequate airflow)

17” & 19” LCD monitor:

Widescreens can be supplied however as one of the primary requirements of the appointment book screen is to see as much of the day as possible, we prefer to use the standard 6x4 format. This maximises ease of use and productivity.

SMS Modem:

These little units allow SIM cards to be used for txt confirmations and marketing. They pay for themselves in no time with 5c txt’s compared to internet txt’s of @22c.

Cash Drawer:

Functional, usually hidden away, opened by the docket printer or a key.

Ultra Flat USB Keyboard:

Low profile and in ‘piano black’ designed to fit in with the black theme.

Wireless Mouse:

Remove the clutter with this cordless ‘mini’ mouse. Easy to use centre ‘scroll’ wheel, ideal for small hands. We recommend keeping spare batteries on hand at all times.

Barcode Scanner:

Compact & Stylish, none of those bulky (and ugly) units here!

This model has a 3 year warranty.

Report Printer:

Compact as possible for A4, cost effective per page and doesn’t smudge the ink when printing off barcode labels and reports. (Inkjets are not recommended by us in this environment – but are not excluded).

Docket Printer:

Allows cost effective printing of client histories (great for follow up, building client relationships and sales) and prints end of day till balance reports.

As a sales receipt printer, it shows client reward points and it kicks the cash drawer open after a sale.

UPS (Power - battery backup 5min):

Allows you to shut the PC down rather than having it just crash if & when the power goes off.

Not essential but highly recommended.

USB Flash Drives:

2x 4GB data storage devices to back up your data.

Usually swapped daily to ensure you have an off-site backup in case of flood/fire. This system allows your sensitive client data to be backed up and you know where it is rather than on a server who knows where, with access by who knows who.

Consumables:

Barcode Labels - Pack 100x65 (6500 individual labels) for bar-coding your professional & retail stock with description, size and your salon name. Time saving and cost effective giving your salon a professional look.

Address Labels - Pack 100x30 (3000 individual labels) for printing off your address labels quickly and easily from within the marketing sections of Hairware / Beautyware.

Thermal docket rolls - 80x80 rolls for the Samsung Thermal Printer. The advantage of thermal is that you never have to worry about ink. It is a cost effective way of printing receipts and also printing client histories which are an invaluable marketing and relationship building tool.
